Since returning from Europe, I've experienced two of the most wonderful weeks I've had in a loooong time - aside from my trip, of course!
I've focused on self-care. I've stayed in to cook meals (I mean, actual meals!), move furniture around and have friends over. And, I've gone out to grocery shop (did I just say that?) and eat with friends and family. These might not seem wildly exciting, but for me...they kind of were!
And, tomorrow, I plan on cozying up in front of my computer and getting a sweet start on photoshopping images from my recent travels! Pure bliss.
Hope the weekend keeps you safe and warm! Talk to you soon. xo, A.

You soooooo deserve self-care, Amy ... and your way to achieve it sounds wonderful. BTW,today sounds like a great day to "cozy-up" inside.
ReplyDeleteThank you...but really, we all do! Self-care is so important...not sure why it's so hard to make time for. Hope you're able to "cozy-up" indoors too. It's a cold one out there ;)
DeleteMmmm there's nothing quite like a good home cooked meal :) I'm on day 2 of a 3 day smoothie cleanse at the moment, so I'm looking forward to Sunday when I can eat real, hearty, yummy food :) I think my post today is going to be all about staying warm! haha I know the cold weather here will never trump the cold of Winnipeg, but I'm still looking forward to curling up with lots of blankets :) Happy weekend Amy!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteA smoothie cleanse...sounds delicious, but a bit chilly for our cool Manitoba winters! Love the idea of curling up with lots of blankets. That's my fav!
DeleteIt sounds like a lovely few weeks. I've been doing a bit of the same, it's including stepping away from the computer and losing myself in a good book. Have a great weekend Amy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Meesh. It really was. I'm also a big fan of stepping away from the computer and getting lost in a book. What's on your bookshelf, right now? Any suggestions?
DeleteIt seems like the trip to Europe has energized you..looking forward to lots of pictures from your fab trip.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jackie. Europe really did energize me. I've come back feeling refreshed and a little more focused. It's nice to know you can tell!
DeleteIs t that great when you take care for you! Such a lovely photo. I can't wait to see more!!!!! Have a lovely weekend Amy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tracey. Sorry to hear about Griffon. Hope you're taking care of yourself too. xo
DeleteLovely pic! :) I've been sick for so long that it's forced me to start getting to bed earlier, sit and read, and make some yummy soups... way slower than my usual pace, but SO nice! Glad to hear you're taking care of yourself Amy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosa. Sorry to hear you've been so sick. I hope you're being kind to yourself out there. Get well soon, dear!
DeleteThose are my favorite nights and I find having a night to myself a luxury that I do not take for granted. Love it!
ReplyDeleteMe too. Why is it so difficult to stay "un-busy"?
