ADVENTURES IN: KNOWLE - PART 2

Thank you, Friends, for your kind feedback on Part 1 of my photographs from Knowle. You are so good to me! The village is every bit as idyllic as it appears to be. More so, actually.....hence, Part 2! I'm beyond thrilled to share this second batch of images from Knowle with you.

DAY ONE + TWO  [Part 2]

Walking the streets of Knowle was something special. It kinda makes you wonder how so much beauty can be found in one place. This cottage, pictured above, was one of my favourite sights from the trip. And, keep in mind that I use this phrase lightly because, let's be real, I loved pretty much everything I saw - including the well-dressed European men - but, I digress. Where was I? Oh right, the cottage! I swooned at the sight of its crooked roof, tudor-style siding and its entry gate sign, which read Golden End Cottage. It reminded me a lot of the cottage from one of my favourite films: The Holiday.

Other charming sights included: an old, historic cathedral; street after street lined with red brick row-houses; fascinating architectural details; and, brightly coloured front doors, painted in every shade of the rainbow (my favourites being the kelly/emerald green one shown below and a peachy/salmon pink one that's not pictured here).

Which of these sights would make you soon?

Coming up.....more snapshots from England. Stay tuned.

  1. Oh yes! Love the emerald door! I bet your camera roll is packed full of coloured doors and window shutters. (Mine was after I went to France, which reminds me I still need to do something with those pics.) :)

  2. Love! I agree with you re: the cottage. But I do have to say I would "swoon over the crooked roof" if I were the owner!! But delightful to look at - absolutely!

    1. Haha...yes, it's darling to look at, but I doubt I would enjoy being the owner of it. Oh, the upkeep?!

  3. Oh my goodness, that cottage is adorable with it's wacky, crooked roof. You are so funny ...... finding inspiration all around you ..... including the men. :-)
