LOVING LIFE: IKEA WISH LIST

Have you heard the news?!

On Wednesday, Ikea Canada officially announced that the new Winnipeg Ikea Store will open it's doors on November 28th, 2012. Eek...what a wonderful day that will be!

I've been a BIG fan of Ikea ever since I was an awkward teen-bopper. All through junior high and high school, I would sit on my parents living room sofa with my Ikea catalogue in hand and I would just create rooms. I'd draw floor plans, select furniture, paint colours...you name it! I was in my happy place. I really was.

Perhaps it's coincidental that on the very week that Ikea makes it's big announcement, I also happened to receive an 100 dollar gift card from Ikea Canada's Pin and Win Pinterest contest. Yippee! An huge thank you to Ikea Canada for sending this lovely prize my way!

I am thrilled to be able to spend it right here in Winnipeg and have already started pulling together my Wish List. Take a look at a few things that have caught my eye.....

Fjadrar inner cushion, duck feather filling | $6.00 CAD | ikea.ca
Lappljung Ruta cushion cover, white/black | $9.99 CAD | ikea.ca
Rens sheepskin, white | $39.99 CAD | ikea.ca
Vittsjo shelving unit, black/brown metal and glass | $50.00 CAD | ikea.ca

Also, if money and space would allow it, I'd love to create an home office like this.....

Left: Britten Nummer Fabric, Ikea | Right: Office Vignette, Ikea 2013 Catalogue

These are just a few of the many things on my Ikea Wish List! What sort of goodies are on yours?!

  1. Ohh nice ! I love Ikea. And it is strangely coincidental you just won a gift certificate, congrats! Good choices. I like all of their organizational items; matching containers and boxes (which I have a few of them already that I love and were cheap!) so I can be extremely OCD and organize my closets like crazy !!

  6. Great picks Amy. I have to say I had a :-/ moment at IKEA today (you ever just get on the "wrong" line at check out?) But I'm already planning to go back on Monday :-) But this time, super early to avoid the crowds.

    1. I know...people have been begging for one for ages. It'll be so convenient to just pop in a shop for a few things at a time. Before you had to travel and arm yourself with a big shopping list.

  9. Congrats on an IKEA! So fun!

I actually moved from a city that has an IKEA to a city that doesn't. Boo! We did stock up on some great furniture before the move though.
