I was blown away by it. Not only is Alison's vignette gorgeous, but her dresser DIY also brings back fond memories of the vintage dresser DIY that I originally blogged about here and that was later featured here on Design*Sponge!

Pretty cool, huh?! Okay...maybe it's only cool to a dorky design blogger like myself, but I couldn't resist sharing it with all of you anyways! Thanks for humouring me on this lovely Tuesday morning. Cheers!

How fabulous is that...you were ahead of the pack here!
ReplyDeleteImitation is the highest form of flattery :)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, I have a mid-century dresser in storage and I am just ITCHING to get at. I just know that a similar re-vamp would bring my dresser back to life. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks Ladies ;) I love the inspiration train!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many painted furniture projects that I came across online and in stores that all inspired me to tackle my own dresser!
Alison has probably never seen my dresser DIY, but it's still super exciting to realize you share a similar design aesthetic with someone as stylish as Alison!
Good luck Dayna on your dresser revamp! Can't wait to see it.

Crazy - you sure they didn't photo-shop your pic into their vignette?
ReplyDeleteHaha...no, I'm pretty sure we were just both inspired by the wood and white combo that's been so "hot" as of late!
ReplyDeleteOMG I fell off my chair when I saw that. I do love the combo of wood and white. I REALLY want to do something like you have done, I just need to find the space in my house. :) Soo, on a side note - this all kind of reminds me of this. http://aubreyandlindsay.blogspot.com/2011/09/framed-bow-ties.html
ReplyDelete;) xo
Ooh...yes Lindsay!!! I so remember this post. Doesn't it just make you giddy all over to see how great minds think alike?!
ReplyDeleteLoved the framed bow-tie project you did you for your adorable son...I love how S&C created the same effect on their show!

That's awesome!! I was recently at the District Condo display suite and found it validating that they've painted one of the walls there the same dark teal colour I painted an old apartment bedroom wall at least 5 years ago ;-). I like to think I was ahead of the trend :-D.
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks almost identical to yours! I have a similar dresser that I'm going to try this with. Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ladies :)
ReplyDeleteErin, That's so awesome that about the District Condo display. Sounds stunning!
Carissa, I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'd love for you to email me a photo when the projects complete!
